Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic will spend the rest of the season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Serbian striker, who joined the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2019 for € 60 million from Deutsche Bank Park, will spend the rest of the season with his former club and there is no purchase clause in the loan deal. In his first season at Eintracht, Jovic was able to establish himself as one of the top scorers in the Bundesliga, but was unable to do the same at Real Madrid. He has scored only 2 goals in 32 games for Real Madrid and in the 20-2021 season, he has played only 5 games under Zidane.
Now he hopes to return to his good old days by returning to his familliar surroundings, and Frankfurt sporting director Freddy Bobic is happy by his return.
“Luka didn't have an easy time in Madrid recently. It is important for him to get back on track. It was his great wish to return to Eintracht," Bobic said at Jovic's unveiling on Thursday.
"Luka can use the next few months to find his way back to old strength in a familiar environment. Real Madrid know that he is in good hands with us and that he can develop here.
"And it is clear to us that we have another excellent option in the storm centre."
